Job summary

CIP Retail is seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to own the procurement cycle end-to-end—from vendor relations to maintaining stock for production. This on-site role in Fairfield, OH, offers visibility and meaningful impact in a small, stable company.

You will manage PO issuance, price verification, and delivery commitments while aligning with production and management. ERP experience, especially Epicor, is a plus; meticulous, analytical professionals will thrive.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in purchasing, procurement, or inventory control.
• ERP systems experience (Epicor a plus).
• Strong analytical skills with inventory data.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle priorities.
• Clear communicator, cross-functionally oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendor relationships and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Issue purchase orders, verify pricing, confirm delivery.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder materials to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Coordinate with production teams so materials are available when/where needed.
• Resolve quality, pricing discrepancies, and delivery delays.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits; resolve discrepancies.
• Generate inventory reports and present findings to management.
• Assist with ERP implementation and data accuracy.
• Support product storage transition back to Fairfield facility.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and storage organization.

The opportunity

We're looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist who wants to do more than process purchase orders. This is a role where you'll be involved in the procurement cycle end-to-end — building vendor relationships, keeping our supply chain sharp, and making sure our production floor always has what it needs. What You'll Do

Requirements

What we're looking for

• 3+ years in purchasing, procurement, or inventory control — manufacturing preferred, but other industrial or production environments are welcome
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor experience is a plus, but not required)
• Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with inventory data and turning it into clear recommendations
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball
• Clear communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $65,000 – $75,000
