Job summary

David Weekley Homes is seeking a Purchasing Specialist in Tampa to manage vendor relationships, prepare contracts, ensure compliance, and train partners, supporting day-to-day purchasing operations. The role acts as a trusted resource for Preferred Partners and internal teams.

You will onboard new partners, train them on processes, keep contracts organized, and assist with payments and reports while ensuring timely deliveries and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in purchasing, construction operations, vendor coordination, or a related administrative role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new Preferred Partners by preparing contracts and guiding them through each step
• Train partners on our processes and tools, including the Weekley Partner Hub
• Keep contract documents organized, updated, and routed to the right teams
• Collect required waiver/lien releases
• Research and resolve variance issues with accuracy and urgency
• Assist partners with payment questions and job reassignments
• Create extra orders, back-charges, and returns as needed
• Place and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery
• Provide information to support rebate submissions for our National Strategic Sourcing Team
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports
• Track starts, communicate updates, and help manage changes throughout the process
