Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or 2–4 years purchasing experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, supplier information, and inventory data.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing communication and correspondence.
• Process purchase orders, including creating, updating, and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct basic research on suppliers and products to support purchasing decisions.
• Monitor and follow up on order statuses with suppliers, addressing discrepancies or delays.
• Assist in the receipt of purchased materials and organizing them per project.
• Help maintain accurate inventory levels by coordinating with receiving and warehouse teams to track materials.
• Input, update, and manage data in purchasing and inventory management systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Any other tasks as assigned

The position of PURCHASING SPECIALIST is one that requires an organized, confident, dependable person who understands that their response to a customer’s needs has a lasting impression on the long-term sustainability of that customer.

The position of PURCHASING SPECIALIST will be staffed by a self-motivated, well-groomed, courteous person who possesses a mindset based in customer service as well as a strong sense of accountability and craving to learn new things.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, supplier information, and inventory data

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing Management, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or 2-4 years of relevant buying/purchasing experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & manage multiple projects and priorities at a time
• Cross-cultural understanding and ability to work with colleagues and customers

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Comfortable communicating over the telephone and via email
• Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure and manage multiple assignments simultaneously under specific timeframes
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
• Work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
• Complete basic math and provide precise descriptions for work performed
• Strong computer literacy, ability to operate computer programs, and skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Teams, Adobe PDF, and Google Workplace
• Comfortable in office and warehouse work setting/environment
• Ability to interact professionally with both corporate and non-corporate personnel
• Valid driver license eligible for insurance coverage for driving company vehicles

WORK SCHEDULE

PURCHASING SPECIALIST will work no less than 40 hours per week and normal working hours shall be 8am-4pm weekdays. Work hours, depending on need and type of work being performed, may result in longer hours

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES

The position entails driving, lifting, standing, and carrying. The PURCHASING SPECIALIST may stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day, lift at least 25 lbs., and make repetitive movements including, but not limited to, using a 10-key or calculator, qwerty keyboard, bending, or squatting.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The nature of this work will place the employee in many situations in which they are not protected from the elements. Some work functions must be completed in ambient temperatures both above 90 degrees and below 32 degrees for extended periods of time. The employee may be subject to elevated noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to a warehouse environment including moving vehicles, temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.

• Salary Range between $50k and $70K annually
