Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure cost‑effective procurement of materials and services.
  2. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  3. Review and analyze supplier quotes, comparing them to specifications and budget constraints.
  4. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  5. Manage supplier relationships, ensuring high‑quality standards, timely delivery, and compliance with contracts.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
  7. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer‑supplier power.
  8. Assess, manage, and mitigate risks related to procurement activities.
  9. Oversee the performance of the procurement department, tracking and reporting key functional metrics.
  10. Ensure adherence to all relevant legal rules and regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing role within the manufacturing industry.
  3. Proven experience in cost control and contract negotiation.
  4. Solid knowledge of supplier or third‑party management software.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  6. Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data.
  7. Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
  8. Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Strong decision‑making skills and ability to exercise good judgement.
  11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  12. Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  13. Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the market.
  14. Aptitude in decision‑making and working with numbers.
  15. Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
