Job summary

Consolidated Turbine Specialists, LLC (CTS), a Kratos' company, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to work onsite at our Bristow, Oklahoma facility. You will support supply chain activities, maintain records, assist expediting orders, and coordinate with vendors for pricing and delivery dates.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of related experience. Strong computer skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential, with attention to accuracy

General Job Summary

The Purchasing Specialist provides administrative and clerical support specifically related to supply chain and procurement department activities. Maintains files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation. Maintains information on computer systems. Assists in expediting orders. May assist buyers in contacting vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates. May develop and maintain resources for assigned commodity items. Prepares standard requests for quotation. Assignments may require initiative regarding pricing revisions, order cancellations, discontinued items, acceptable substitutes, delivery date revisions and invoice discrepancies.

Essential Job Functions
  • Has substantial understanding of the job either from experience or a training/certification program and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, guided by defined and documented processes.
  • May be expected to adapt solutions to other problems for related situations. Encounters problems which are varied but generally similar.
  • Requires some fact finding in order to fully understand the issue and consider the most appropriate response.
  • Impact varies between immediate and short term (less than one year).
  • Scope of impact typically at the department or team level; wider impact in customer-facing roles.
