Job summary

Weber Specialties Company is seeking a production scheduler to maintain the daily production plan, track material requirements, and meet customer needs. The role may require overtime including weekends as workload dictates.

The ideal candidate will handle time entry in ERP, coordinate external services, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining accurate forecasts and schedules. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with MRP systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong math skills for calculating figures, discounts, and proportions.
• Experience using an MRP system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries, expedite orders and material.

SUMMARY

• Responsible for maintaining production schedule, ensuring material requirements and customer needs are met. This position may require overtime to include weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to customer (sales) inquiries, expedite production order and incoming material.
• Enter time sheets into ERP system daily, to track labor.
• Coordinate pick-ups for outside services. Expedite services if necessary.
• Review material for jobs in the job order release screen to ensure, material requirements are met for job order needs.
• Release, kit and schedule jobs.
• Maintain production schedule on a daily basis.
• Order shop supplies as needed for the production floor.
• Enter forecasts into ERP system.
• Keep track of on-time delivery on a daily basis.
• Update outside services log with new orders going out and completed orders coming in.
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.(Required)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software. Must have knowledge of MRP system, M2M experience helpful.
