Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a Purchasing/Material Planner for a growing energy technology startup in Sorrento Valley, San Diego. This role will manage day‑to‑day purchasing, supplier coordination, and material planning while helping develop scalable processes to support R&D and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or material planning.
• Experience with BOMs and understanding engineering drawings/technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets; ERP/MRP experience preferred.
• Strong supplier management, organization, and communication; able to thrive in a startup.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFQs, supplier quotes, purchase orders, pricing, lead times, and delivery follow-up.
• Maintain material and supplier trackers and proactively identify shortages or schedule risks.
• Coordinate materials and shipments between suppliers, R&D, and manufacturing.
• Maintain BOM, pricing, purchasing, and supplier documentation.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to resolve purchasing and material issues.
• Support continuous improvement of purchasing and material planning processes.
