Job summary

Mettler Packaging in Moorefield, WV is seeking a dedicated site purchasing professional to help establish and grow the purchasing department for the U.S. manufacturing plant.

You will source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services. Collaborate with production, QA and corporate teams to optimize supply chain operations and manage inventory for working capital efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain or related field.
• 2+ years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills with understanding of contract law.
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Hands-on mentality with positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Role requires daily onsite presence at the Moorefield, WV location.

Responsibilities
