Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead a team on-site in Seattle, WA, with a 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift. You will oversee purchasing, vendor selection, and budget management in an aerospace manufacturing setting.

This permanent role emphasizes team leadership, process optimization, and supplier relations to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5-15 years of purchasing experience, preferably in aerospace/manufacturing.
• Proficiency in vendor management, negotiation, and procurement.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables.
• Experience with purchasing, procurement, and purchase orders.
• Experience with Visual MFG software or other ERP systems.
• Experience in data analysis and customer service.
• Familiarity with schematics and buying/ordering processes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term vendor relationships.
• Negotiate favorable contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

Work Environment

The role is set in an aerospace machine shop environment. While you will primarily work in an office space, you will occasionally need to visit the shop floor to ask questions and gather information. The position requires working onsite during the specified shift hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $81000.00 - $107000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
