Job summary

Levy Restaurants at Barclays Center is seeking a Purchasing Manager to source, purchase and manage high-quality products that delight guests. You will work with operations and culinary teams to meet budget goals and optimize our supply chain at a marquee New York venue.

You should have 3+ years in Purchasing/Supply Chain, strong computer skills, and a passion for hospitality and food. This role involves overseeing inventory, supplier relations, and staff development at Barclays Center.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Purchasing/Supply Chain role.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Passion for hospitality, food, and retail.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Operational experience in food and beverage is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source, purchase and manage quality, cost-effective products to delight guests at Barclays Center.
• Assist with buying, warehouse management, payables adherence and inventory control.
• Collaborate with operations and culinary teams to meet budget and performance goals.
• Oversee inventory rotation, deliveries, and supplier relations.
• Oversee hiring, training and supervision of purchasing staff.

Job Summary

As the Purchasing Manager, under the direction of the Director of Purchasing, you will be responsible to source, purchase and manage the best quality, cost effective products to delight our guests. This role is based at one of our marquee locations, Barclays Center.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Assisting location level facets of buying, warehouse management, payables adherence and inventory control
• Working with the operations and culinary teams to achieve budget and performance goals
• Maximizing the utilization of Levy7s purchasing and supply chain system
• Oversee and mentor junior purchasing team members
• Overseeing the regular completion and rotation of inventory
• Ensuring the timely placing of orders
• Conducting inventory on a regular basis to minimize loss
• Management and checking of deliveries to ensure accurate and safe delivery
• Overseeing product storage and rotation
• Managing hiring processes for team members
• Holding pre-shift meetings with the purchasing team
• Managing product transfers and requisition sheets to ensure accurate tracking of product
• Ensuring accurate keying of invoices
• Identifying slow and dead stock items, working with culinary and operations teams to address the issue
  

Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years in a Purchasing/Supply Chain role
• High level of computer literacy
• Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Operational experience in food and beverage is preferred
