About the Opportunity

Join a fast-growing manufacturer on a mission to scale efficiently, reduce costs, and build a world-class supplier base. We’re seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement strategy, optimize vendor performance, and deliver measurable cost and process improvements. This high-impact role reports directly to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and offers visibility across operations, supply chain, and finance.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead supplier performance, contract negotiation, and pricing across key materials (connectors, wire, terminals, tape, etc.).
  • Drive cost reduction while improving vendor quality, delivery, and service.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Logistics, and Finance to align purchasing with business and plant goals.
  • Monitor and improve key vendor KPIs: cost, delivery, quality, responsiveness.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing purchasing team, setting clear expectations and accountability.
  • Manage material pricing, purchase order accuracy, and invoice resolution.
  • Support day-to-day material availability, expediting, and supply disruption issues.
  • Report savings, performance, and risk metrics to senior leadership.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Material Cost Savings: ≥ 5% YoY reduction across managed categories
  • Supplier On-Time Delivery: ≥ 95%
  • Inventory Turns: ≥ 6x annually
  • Quote Response Time: ≤ 3 business days
  • Purchase Price Variance (PPV): Controlled within budget targets
  • Procurement SLA Compliance: ≥ 98%
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years in procurement/supply chain, including 5+ years in manufacturing leadership.
  • Experience with electrical/electronic components strongly preferred.
  • Strong contract negotiation, vendor management, and pricing strategy skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and vendor performance tracking.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive change, and manage multiple priorities.
