Athea Laboratories, a leader in specialty chemical product manufacturing, is seeking a Purchasing Manager. This position is located at the Athea-Cornell: 1900 W. Cornell St. facility with required travel to other company facilities in the Milwaukee area.
This position is responsible for the procurement of a wide range of commodities to support the Company’s manufacturing operations at two different locations, including non-woven substrates, chemicals, corrugate packaging, rigid plastic packaging, flexible packaging, labels, and closures. This person will lead bids and RFPs for items listed above, with the goal of cost savings, quality, and consolidation of SKUs. This person will cultivate existing business relationships with vendors, create new connections, and remain informed about relevant market trends. This person will also review existing purchasing processes and lead improvement efforts.
