# Purchasing ManagerCorp - FARMVILLE, VA 23901## OverviewSalary Range$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 Salary/yearLevelExperiencedPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftDay Shift (1st)CategorySupply Chain## Position SummaryThe ***Purchasing Manager*** is a member of the operations leadership team responsible for optimizing inventory levels, maintaining adequate stock of raw materials to support operational and customer demand, maintaining routine vendor communication, developing new vendor relationships, and reducing cost of raw materials.## Qualifications* Set stock minimum, monitor current inventory and continuously update stock amounts based on customer demand and sales projections with a goal of never running out of raw materials.* Understand supplier lead times and pricing structures to order the right number of materials to optimize pricing. Routinely place purchase orders (PO’s) using a computerized system.* Maintain and provide performance feedback to existing suppliers and identify new suppliers based on supplier reliability, quality and costs. Lead supplier performance evaluations at least annually and have performance discussions with suppliers. Initiate supplier corrective action requests (SCAR).* Negotiate problem resolution and/or terms of purchase with suppliers, such as PO Terms, pricing, payment terms, termination options, and delivery requirements* Track and provide feedback on incoming orders. Monitor for timely delivery.* Work with product development & marketing to support any necessary materials for new product launches.* Conduct quarterly inventory counts and enter and validate data into spreadsheet.* Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers on our shipments* Understand and adhere to company financial controls associated with inventory management* The employee presents themselves in a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships* Conduct supplier visits and audits as required.* Any other work as assigned.
