Job summary

Legor USA, a growing industry leader of precious metals and plating solutions, seeks a Purchasing & Logistics Specialist to manage purchasing, inventory planning, vendor coordination, and domestic/international logistics.

In this role you will ensure on-time arrivals, optimized stock levels, and exceptional service for customers across North America, collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Accounting while adhering to shipping regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management experience.
  • Experience with international vendors and imports.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor communication skills.
  • Experience using ERP systems (Sage X3 experience is a plus).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute purchasing of raw materials, chemicals, packaging, and finished goods from domestic and international suppliers.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments.
  • Relationship management of freight providers including UPS, FedEx, LTL, ocean, and air freight.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock based on forecasts and customer demand.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and purchasing terms with suppliers.
  • Issue purchase orders and monitor supplier performance.
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or logistics issues.
  • Coordinate imports, customs documentation, and international freight.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Accounting to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Analyze inventory trends and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and vendor records within the ERP system.
  • Develop and improve purchasing and logistics processes.
  • Assist with forecasting and supply chain planning.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, hazardous material requirements, and company policies.

Join a Growing Industry Leader Legor USA is a leading supplier of precious metals, electroplating solutions, and advanced manufacturing products serving the jewelry, industrial, and decorative finishing industries throughout North America. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Specialist to execute purchasing, inventory planning, vendor coordination, and domestic and international logistics.

This is a key position responsible for ensuring our products arrive on time, inventory levels remain optimized, and our customers receive exceptional service.
