Job Summary:
Identifies, suggests and implements the development of purchasing strategies and systems under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager and Purchasing and SPM Director.

Summary of Duties (Purchasing Leader)
  1. Contributes to establish and formalize the SAFRAN VENTILATION SYSTEMS purchasing strategy and road map for each commodity in collaboration with the Purchasing Department.
  2. Monitors market evolution and develops purchasing marketing.
  3. Controls costs and proposes solutions to meet our competitiveness commitments and program objectives.
  4. Creates network and develops synergies with other Safran Purchasing entities in the USA.
  5. Identifies and evaluates new sources and suppliers in order to support the North American activity.
  6. Launches RFQs with identified suppliers and leads negotiations in collaboration with other commodity purchasing leaders.
  7. Performs supplier selection committee in collaboration with multi-functional team.
  8. Formalizes and contributes to establish purchasing contracts (General Terms Agreements and Price & Logistics Agreements) with new suppliers.
  9. Manages existing contracts with current suppliers and ensures compliance with terms and conditions.
  10. Supports new product introduction by sourcing parts to relevant suppliers in each commodity involved.
  11. Assigns purchasing and scheduling duties based on business requirements.
  12. Works proactively to optimize purchasing costs through creative solutions.
Summary of Duties (Supplier Performance Manager)
  1. Drives operational excellence and supports Supply Chain by improving supplier performance.
  2. Coordinates the supplier multi-functional team in collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager.
  3. Monitors and manages the quality and logistics performance of suppliers.
  4. Identifies root causes of non-performance and establishes action plans.
  5. Guarantees the consistency of improvement actions initiated by all Supply Chain players in charge of suppliers.
  6. Measures and communicates (internally and externally) the overall performance (OTD, DOD and PPM) through scorecards and steering meetings.
  7. Defines and manages the monitoring plan, based on the risk analyses made with the supplier multifunctional team.
  8. Plans and manages maturity audits and supplier evaluations.
  9. Leads load/capacity and rate assessments at the suppliers. Defines and monitors action plan accordingly.
  10. Works proactively to optimize supply chain operations through creative solutions.
Summary of Duties (General)
  1. Proactively works on continuous improvements within the department.
  2. Ensures that the purchasing department follows all guidelines and procedures (Safran and Safran Ventilation Systems).
  3. Ensures reporting of consolidated Key Performance Indicators to the Purchasing Direction.
  4. Attends and actively participates in departmental meetings in a positive manner.
