The Inventory Management & Purchasing Specialist will manage raw material, packaging, and ingredient inventories while coordinating procurement to keep production uninterrupted at our fluid dairy facility. You will ensure SAP-based tracking, maintain perishable input stock levels, and partner with production, quality, and finance

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years in inventory management, purchasing, or procurement
• Understanding of HACCP, SQF, GMP or similar
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills
• Experience supporting cycle counts, physical inventories, and variance investigations

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of all Raw Materials needed to support daily production through creating, maintaining and receiving purchase orders using SAP.
• Create and direct cycle counts.
• Raw Material Inventory Turns/Investment Performance Reporting
• Raw Material Warehouse Capacity Utilization (Shared with WH Team)
• Raw Material inventory Health Reporting (Maintenance of Targeted Safety Stocks)
• RM Inventory Accuracy Management & Reporting (Shared with Plant WH) - 99.5% Location Record Goal
• Supervise Dry warehouse Personnel in the execution of daily tasks to include Goods Movements, inventories and receipts.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or procurement, ideally within food/beverage or dairy manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM (Materials Management) and/or SAP IM (Inventory Management) modules
• 2-4+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or procurement, ideally within food/beverage or dairy manufacturing
• Understanding of food safety and quality standards (HACCP, SQF, GMP, or similar) as they relate to inventory handling.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Experience supporting cycle counts, physical inventories, and variance/discrepancy investigations
• with SAP purchase order creation, goods receipt processing, and inventory reconciliation workflows

Job Summary

The Inventory Management & Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing raw material, packaging, and ingredient inventory levels, as well as coordinating purchasing activities to support uninterrupted production at our fluid dairy processing facility. This role ensures accurate inventory tracking within SAP, maintains optimal stock levels for perishable dairy inputs, and partners closely with production, quality, and finance teams to support efficient workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

• monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of all Raw Materials needed to support daily production through creating, maintaining and receiving purchase orders using SAP.
• Create and direct cycle counts.
• Raw Material Inventory Turns/Investment Performance Reporting
• Raw Material Warehouse Capacity Utilization (Shared with WH Team)
• Raw Material inventory Health Reporting (Maintenance of Targeted Safety Stocks)
• RM Inventory Accuracy Management & Reporting (Shared with Plant WH) - 99.5% Location Record Goal
• Supervise Dry warehouse Personnel in the execution of daily tasks to include Goods Movements, inventories and receipts.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Understand/perform duties of Production Scheduler as Vacation Relief.
  • Plan/Schedule daily production using SAP to generate and release production process orders daily.
  • Order RAW milk/Bulk ingredients
  • Generate Stock Transfer orders
  • Maintain appropriate levels of “Re-Sale” items needs to fulfill customer demand
• Perform Duties as Production/Cooler supervisor as directed to ensure gap coverage

Pay

$75,000-$85,000 per year*

• The salary range listed for this position represents the good faith and reasonable minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, training, knowledge, education, and overall qualifications. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
