Perdue Farms, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to keep operations running smoothly by ensuring purchasing data is accurate, organized, and reliable.

This role supports the integrity of procurement processes and helps teams make informed decisions with high standards of accuracy and accountability. The position is 1st shift, 5:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Saturday, with opportunities to develop data analysis skills and assist in cost management across direct and indirect materials, PPE, and

Qualifications

• Strong reading, writing, math, communication and analytical skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient in Data Entry, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to create charts, graphs, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Enter all receiving data relating to all direct materials.
• Enter all receiving data relating to all indirect materials such as operating supplies, PPE, vaccines, etc. used.
• Assist in all issues of direct materials to production.
• Develop and prepare charts and graphs showing dollar amount usage by department of indirect operating supplies and PPE.
• Develop and prepare charts and graphs showing dollar amount usage by department of direct materials.
• Communicate daily with purchasing agents showing status of inventory and costs.
• Manage and control all issues of indirect materials, operating supplies, PPT etc. to production.
• Develop daily reports for purchasing agents showing status of inventory and costs.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout Tag Out procedure and Process Safety Management.
