Meritage Homes Corporation invites applications for a Purchasing Intern position in our Houston, TX division. This full-time, in-person summer internship will teach how residential construction procures labor and materials, including budget analysis, base house costs, options, margins, and vendor negotiations.

You will work closely with internal leaders, participate in cross-functional projects, and present real-world recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a degree program from a regionally accredited university or college.
• Interest in homebuilding or construction management is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Learn how residential construction procures labor and materials in a production environment.
• Analyze product budgets, review base house cost, options and margins, and vendor negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal leaders and participate in cross-functional projects.
• Present real-world business recommendations to senior leadership.
