Job summary

Magna Powertrain in Indiana is seeking a student intern pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field to join our team.

You will maintain records, coordinate shipments, monitor spare parts inventory, and support the purchasing process while developing analytical and collaborative skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• Strong interest in supplier quality management and automotive manufacturing processes.
• Basic understanding of quality standards and tools such as ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing items.
• Coordinate with purchasing superiors on all incoming shipments of items.
• Ensure accurate inventory levels on specific spare parts inventories for dedicated production lines and maintenance functions.
• Ensure department associates are provided with necessary supplies to perform their job functions using the internal purchasing process.
• Operate as a cooperative cohesive team to perform effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain a minimum inventory of spare parts.
