Job summary

Magna International seeks a seasoned purchasing leader to oversee material procurement for production. You will lead the purchasing team, manage supplier relationships, and optimize cost and quality across global suppliers.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in purchasing, 3 years of leadership, and SAP expertise, with a strong background in automotive manufacturing and stamping sourcing preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive manufacturing is required.
• Step into a Purchasing role with leadership responsibilities.
• SAP experience is mandatory.
• Strong Excel and Office skills are expected.
• Minimum 5 years in Purchasing and 3 years in leadership.
• Stamping sourcing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates the activities of the purchasing department.

• Reviews quotes, bids and proposals from suppliers and analyzes performance to track quality and manage development.

Job Responsibilities

Supervises and coordinates the activities of the purchasing department. Oversees the procurement of production materials and supplies. Reviews quotes, bids and proposals from suppliers and analyzes their performance to track supplier quality and manage development.

What We Are Looking For

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Post‑secondary education is preferred.
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment required.
• Stamping sourcing experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of Purchasing experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years SAP experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer skills: Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel required; Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Operate standard office equipment required.
