Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program concentrating in Supply Chain Management or related field.

• Analyze spend data to identify trends in the purchasing department.

• Accuracy of payment – work with accounts payable to ensure fast and accurate payment to vendors.
• Inventory Management – track stock levels and collaborate with vendors to optimize turnover rates for purchased goods.
• Purchasing Support & Projects – Support the purchasing department with day-to-day activities and contribute to special projects and other initiatives as business needs arise.
• Process Documentation & Improvement – Collaborate with purchasing team members to document and standardize existing processes, helping create clear resources and procedures that support consistency and efficiency across the department.

This role provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across a variety of purchasing and supply chain activities while working closely with an experienced team.

Responsibilities & Duties –

• Work with AJM Plants and Vendors to resolve reports of defective goods (RDG). If a defective good is received work with vendor to determine disposition of good and receive credit for item.
• Assist with Purchase orders – ensure accuracy in order details and pricing through collaboration with the vendor base.
• Analyze spend data to identify trends in the purchasing department.
• Market Research – research potential vendors to find new sources for purchased goods.
• Accuracy of payment – work with accounts payable to ensure fast and accurate payment to vendors.
