Job summary

Harrington is seeking a motivated Purchasing Expeditor to join our team in Indiana. You will coordinate with Regional Buyers and suppliers to ensure purchase orders progress on schedule and materials arrive on time to support our branches and customers.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of purchasing or supply chain experience, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Prelude is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor open and overdue purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries.
• Communicate with suppliers about inventory, status, and delivery dates.
• Identify shortages or delays and update Regional Buyers.
• Work with suppliers to improve delivery timelines.
• Document supplier communications and order updates in Prelude.
• Monitor critical material shortages impacting customer orders.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, and internal teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes.
