Qualifications

• Two years of residential construction/architecture experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Full understanding of residential construction, architectural, structural, and MEP design.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling; familiarity with JD Edwards and Build Pro.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Strong writing and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and team-oriented mindset.

• Interact with Purchasing and Operations to verify take‑off change requests.
• Coordinate with architects/engineers on plan changes affecting take‑offs.

• Review material EPO requests to align with take‑offs and scopes.
• Complete take‑offs for special projects and specification changes.
• Field verification of actual quantities vs take‑offs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Purchasing Estimator

The Purchasing Estimator is responsible for all aspects of take‑offs, including verification of take‑off change requests, review and elimination of material EPO requests, and cost‑analysis recommendations on proposed plan changes.

Responsibilities

• Create material take‑offs for all existing, new and revised plans (initial focus on framing).
• Maintain take‑offs of all active plans.
• Interact with Purchasing and Operations departments to verify take‑off change requests.
• Coordinate with architect/engineering consultants regarding plan changes impacting take‑offs.
• Analyze plans for cost‑analysis recommendations and research cost of proposed design ideas.
• Assist in the review of material EPO requests to ensure alignment with take‑offs and scopes of work, eliminating unnecessary EPOs.
• Complete take‑offs for special projects and specification changes.
• Field verification of actual quantities vs. quantity take‑offs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of residential construction/architecture experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Full understanding of residential construction, architectural, structural, and MEP design.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheet and formulas for financial modeling; familiarity with JD Edwards, Build Pro, and other proprietary software.
• Ability to perform multiple detailed‑oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
• Strong writing and organization skills.
• Strong work ethic, integrity and loyalty.
• Team player who works well under pressure.
• Initiative and ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
• Detail‑oriented problem solver able to handle complex situations.

Physical & Office/Site Requirements

Regular, in‑person attendance at company communities, job sites and offices during regular work hours is essential. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in confined quarters of a construction trailer, operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
