CAN Community Health, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Director to lead our procurement and supply chain functions on-site in Florida. This senior role oversees strategy, supplier governance, cost control, and risk management, partnering with executives to drive scalable performance.

The ideal candidate will bring 7–10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including regulated environments, and a track record of implementing enterprise-wide procurement programs and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (master’s preferred).
• 7–10+ years in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or vendor management with strategic leadership.
• Experience developing procurement programs, policies, or governance frameworks.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, complex contract negotiation, and vendor management.
• Healthcare/government regulated environment experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Salary: $135,365 - $169,206 annually based on experience

What You’ll Do

The Purchasing Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of all procurement, sourcing, and supply chain functions across entities of the organization. This role is responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, service levels, and supplier performance while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

As a senior leader, the Director partners with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align procurement strategy with organizational goals, drive operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and enhance scalability. This role leads procurement operations, vendor governance, contract strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data, systems, and best practices to deliver measurable value.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (master’s preferred).
2. 7–10+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or vendor management experience, including strategic leadership responsibilities.
3. Experience developing procurement programs, policies, or governance frameworks strongly preferred.
4. Proven experience in:
   • Strategic sourcing and category management
   • Complex contract negotiation
   • Vendor relationship management
   • Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, government, or similar) strongly preferred.
5. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.
6. Must be able to pass a Level I and Level II Background check as required (https://info.flclearinghouse.com).
