Job summary

IES is seeking a Data Processing Specialist to support centralized purchasing operations across multiple locations in the state. The role focuses on processing requests, organizing data, preparing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate records with strong attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will handle high volumes of email, manage spreadsheets, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Process purchasing requests received through a shared email inbox.
• Create and submit purchase orders to vendors.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate data in company systems and spreadsheets.
• Review requests for completeness and accuracy.
• Copy, transfer, and organize information from multiple sources.
• Communicate with vendors regarding orders, pricing, and product availability.
• Track order status and maintain documentation.
• Organize electronic records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with reporting and other administrative projects as assigned.
