Job summary

The Position: Wasatch Electric is accepting applications for a Purchasing Clerk in Salt Lake City.

Role and Responsibilities: The Purchasing Clerk will work in our office under the direction of the Purchasing Manager and have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Clerical and administrative duties related to our company purchasing department
  • Daily data entry of all purchase orders, including all changes and requirement updates.
  • Communicate and work with various project managers and assistants for effective and accurate purchase order flow and accountability
  • Act as a liaison between the accounting and purchasing departments.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Typing and ten-key proficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Access)
  • Prior accounting experience is preferred
  • Experience with accounting/purchasing software is a plus
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is critical
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable with the ability to multitask
  • Capability to work independently and as a member of a team
