Job summary

Gurney’s Resorts & Seawater Spa in Montauk, NY is seeking a Receiving Clerk to support Purchasing/Receiving. You will help receive, organize, and distribute inventory to resort departments, ensuring accurate records and proper stock rotation.

The role is full-time year-round with hourly pay of $18.50 and benefits including health/dental/vision and 401K. Strong organizational skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; storeroom/inventory experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and record-keeping.
• Forklift or warehouse equipment operation (certification a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for long periods.
• Familiarity with inventory software or systems.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries for quantity, quality, and accuracy.
• Organize and maintain storeroom inventory with proper labeling.

Job Summary:

The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing inventory and supplies to various resort departments. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, proper stock rotation, and adherence to safety and quality standards, supporting the resort's seamless daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries for quantity, quality, and accuracy.
• Organize and maintain storeroom inventory, ensuring items are properly labeled and stored.
• Distribute supplies and products to departments in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform regular inventory counts and assist with inventory control procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storeroom areas following safety guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable and non-perishable items.
• Assist with stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the storeroom and resort property for long periods.
• Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders as needed.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures (e.g., walk-in refrigerators, dry storage areas).

Pay Range and Compensation Package:
