• Bachelor's degree preferred; Concentration in Business Administration, Economics, or Supply Chain is preferred. Real world purchasing experience can substitute for educational requirements.
• Proficient with MS Office Suites (Excel, Word)

Responsibilities

• Identify and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, and price.
• Contact suppliers to obtain pricing and specifications.
• Review acquisitions, verify specs and determine procurement method.
• Expedite orders with suppliers until delivery is complete.
• Manage warehouse inventory.
• Assist plant personnel when they come into the warehouse for supplies.
• Wear PPE (metatarsal boots) and appropriate clothing inside the warehouse.
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

The Purchasing Agentis responsible forobtainingmaterialstockedin the warehouse.

These duties include:

• Identifyand select suppliers considering quality, delivery, and price
• Contact suppliers to obtain pricing and specifications
• Reviews acquisitions, verifies specifications anddeterminesproper method for procurement
• Proactively expedites orders with suppliers until delivery is complete
• Manages warehouse inventory
• Assist otherplantpersonnelwhen they comeinto the warehouse for supplies.
• Must wear designated PPE (metatarsal boots)andappropriate clothinginside the warehouse.
• Any otherduties expressed by the supervisor.
