Job summary

Furniture Mart USA in Sioux Falls, SD, is hiring a full-time Purchasing Coordinator earning $22-28/hour depending on experience. Mon-Fri, 8:00AM-5:00PM. You will monitor supplies, evaluate vendors, process department requests, and manage fleet licenses, invoices, and travel arrangements while ensuring accurate cost allocations and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Effective collaborator and communicator with internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate well with customers and management.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supply levels and make appropriate purchases.
• Evaluate vendors for best price and quality; negotiate prices.
• Receive and process supply requests from departments/locations.
• Allocate costs to proper locations; maintain records.
• License and register fleet vehicles; arrange travel.
• Review and code invoices; coordinate meetings/events purchases.
• Schedule deliveries; resolve shortages and late deliveries.
• Prepare and review purchasing files and price lists.
• Track requisitions, contracts, and orders.
• Purchase cell phones and manage corporate accounts; uniforms.

Starting Wage: $22-28/hour depending on experience

Summary:

• Full-Time (40 hrs/wk): Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
• Monitor supply levels and make appropriate purchases as necessary
• Evaluate vendors to determine best price and quality of supplies purchased while negotiating prices accordingly
• Receive and process all requests for supplies made by various company departments and locations.
• Allocate appropriate cost to proper location
• Retains records on purchases/requests/filled orders
• Responsible for licensing and registration of all fleet vehicles
• Travel Arrangements-Flights, Hotels, Conference rooms
• Reviews, codes and approves all invoices related to items purchased
• Coordinates and purchases food needs for meetings and events
• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries, to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other concerns
• Prepares, maintains, and reviews purchasing files, reports and price lists
• Tracks the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
• Purchasing of Cell Phones and Managing of corporate account
• Purchasing of company uniforms
• Participates in department and company improvement activities, positively contributing to the team
• Proactively communicates issues and action taken or needed with Manager and/or Supervisor
• Maintains good attendance, punctuality and safe work practices
• Work in conjunction with Fleet Manager.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Effective collaborator and communicator
• Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate well with external and internal customers and management.
• Self-motivated and absolute attention to detail
