Cash-Wa Distributing in Kearney, NE is seeking an entry-level Purchasing Assistant with growth potential. The role supports daily purchasing duties, analyzes vendors and markets, and reports to the Lead Buyer. The position offers weekday daytime hours with wage based on experience.

Responsibilities include analyzing inventory, creating purchase orders, and reconciling invoices and pricing. Clarity Purchasing experience is required, and buying experience or education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Buying experience or education preferred.
• Strong computer skills with Outlook/Excel/Word; ability to learn Clarity Purchasing.
• Analytical problem solving and attention to detail are essential.
• Effective phone and email communication is required.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory levels to determine stock needs.
• Utilize Clarity Purchasing to maintain and replenish stock.
• Create purchase orders based on inventory levels.
• Send purchase orders to vendors via their preferred method.
• Reconcile vendor confirmations with purchase orders for pricing and delivery.
• Adjust base cost in system to reflect PO cost.
• Reconcile vendor invoices to ensure correct pricing and discounts.
• Review inventory for slow or dead stock.
• Coordinate with Sales to source products for customers.
