Job summary

Sunbelt Modular Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to manage material procurement for all projects and ensure on-time delivery to support production. You will purchase materials, schedule ahead of production, and monitor shortages daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of modular building construction processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and usage of raw materials during construction.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.

• Purchase standard materials for cycle counts.
• Maintain purchasing project files.
• Search for new products and innovative ideas.
• Advise Purchasing Manager of all price changes.
• Assist in inventory entry and prices out inventory write-ins.
• Provide the Production Department and other departments with accurate information regarding availability of materials.
• Provide the Sales and Engineering Departments with technical information on special material.
• Assist Purchasing Manager as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Maintain purchasing project files
• Search for new products and innovative ideas
• Advise Purchasing Manager of all price changes
• Assist in inventory entry and prices out inventory write-ins
• Provide the Production Department and other departments with accurate information regarding special situations which affect the availability of materials
• Provide the Sales and Engineering Departments with technical information on special material
• Assist Purchasing Manager as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Able to successfully pass a criminal background check (following a conditional offer of employment)
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods while managing purchasing activities, use a computer with repetitive hand and wrist movements, maintain attention to detail when reviewing orders and inventory, and occasionally walk the warehouse and lift or move materials up to 25 lbs.
