Summary

A Purchasing Assistant supports the department and reports to a buyer. The position is located at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA, 90040. It is an onsite role at the Store Support Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares purchase orders as needed.
• Assists department with purchasing procedures and follows up on orders to ensure timely deliveries.
• Issues purchase order follow-up to ensure on-time deliveries and correct pricing, terms, and specifications.
• Updates sales log reports on a daily basis.
• Updates and inputs cost retail prices on a daily basis.
• Extensive follow-up with store directors and vendors on a daily basis.
• Provides strong data entry support/receivers.
• Responsible for meeting daily deadlines.
• Schedules/sets up vendor appointments.
• Provides general support to Buyers.

Education and/or Experience

Requires an associate degree and/or 2 years’ experience either in grocery retail or as a scan coordinator.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. The actual starting pay will be determined by a number of qualifications, including experience and relevant skills.
