Purchasing Agent - Pool Service and Construction - Base Salary to 65k/year - King of Prussia, PA

  • Our client is the largest and most established commercial swimming pool construction, service, and sales company in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. With over 40 years of industry leadership, they are known for our expertise, reliability, and commitment to excellence across every project. Our client is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage the procurement of equipment and materials across multiple job sites. This role is essential to ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting the success of our clients' construction and service teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Order Management
  • Source and order materials and equipment per project specifications and timelines.
  • Track order status and communicate delays or issues to internal teams.
  • Vendor & Cost Management
  • Maintain vendor relationships and pricing records to ensure quality and competitive costs.
  • Onboard new vendors and subcontractors, including collecting W-9s, insurance certificates, and signed agreements.
  • Inventory Oversight
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder as needed to prevent shortages.
  • Inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality upon receipt at the warehouse.
  • Manage field requests for replacements of missing or broken equipment.
  • System & Process Support
  • Maintain accurate order logs, including order/receive dates and shipping estimates.
  • Process returns (RGA) and follow up on vendor credits.
  • Set up vendors in Sage and support inventory tracking systems.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, preferably within construction or related industries.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Sage 100, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Compensation:

  • Base salary up to 65k/year with full benefits
