This range is provided by New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$70,951.00/yr - $89,138.00/yr

Duties Description

• The approval of purchase orders under $50,000.
• The assignment and management of P-card holders.
• Test and troubleshoot of Oracle Financials’ updates in the non-production environment.
• Creation and management of Oracle Financials’ reports for Management, Internal Controls, and Internal Audit.
• Updates to the requisition and purchasing workflow for the Administration department.
• Troubleshoot support of non-routine I-Procurement and Purchasing issues
• Other ad-hoc projects in the Administration department as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR
• One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include: Contract Management Specialist 1, Assistant Office Services Manager. OR
• A bachelor’s degree and two years of purchasing experience.

The salary range shown includes location pay and/or geographic pay.

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.

NY HELPS Program

This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).

For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.

At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.
