Job summary

Ace Electric in Ohio seeks a Purchasing Agent – Electrical Construction to lead procurement for project materials and equipment.

You will initiate, process and verify purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, and support internal teams to meet delivery dates for multiple projects.

This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.

• Knowledge of supplier management and PO processes.

Responsibilities

General Summary:

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for initiating, preparing, processing, and verifying purchase orders following guidelines to purchase materials and goods for projects by the required delivery dates. The Purchasing Agent will coordinate with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently.

Preferred Job Skills:

• Procurement experience in the construction industry, ideally electrical.
• Able to demonstrate advanced computer skills to include knowledge of MS Office Suite, Google Sheets, Spectrum and other software.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain required levels of confidentiality when entrusted with sensitive business, customer, or employee related information.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Effective and professional communicator, both written and verbal.
• Able to maintain a pleasant customer service attitude while under pressure.
• High level of professional business acumen.

Responsibilities:

• Initiates/prepares/processes/verifies purchase orders for materials and goods for project.
• Manages the purchasing and contracts database and input transactions.
• Interacts with suppliers to determine pricing terms, product specifications, and product availability.
• Expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with the changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements.
• Coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met.
• Assists with coordinating PO reviews, revisions and submissions.
• Other duties as assigned or necessary.
