SkyWest is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support maintenance bases by securing parts and managing critical AOG purchases. You will evaluate costs, maintain purchase files, and coordinate with bases and vendors.

Position requires 18+ years old, HS diploma or GED, and ability to obtain work authorization in the US. On-the-job training provided; Monday–Friday schedule with full-time options near St. George, UT.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• Self-motivated with good communication and people skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel.

Primary Job Duties

As a Purchasing Agent, you will work closely with assigned maintenance bases to ensure they have the parts needed for a successful operation.

• Purchase parts for maintenance bases
• Responsible for aircraft on ground (AOG) and critical purchases
• Evaluate costs for consumable inventory
• Maintain accurate purchase files
• Communicate with bases and vendors
• Monitor and expedite orders

Minimum Requirements

*No previous airline experience needed*

We are looking for individuals with an interest in the airline industry who have the following traits:

• 18 years of age or older
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Self-motivated
• Communication and people skills
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Word & Excel
• Work independently and as an integral part of a team

Physical and Other Requirements

• Schedule Monday - Friday
  • Either four 10-hour shifts (4/10s) or five 8-hour shifts (5/8s) are available for full-time employees.
• Live near or be willing to relocate to St. George, UT (no remote work opportunities available for this position)
• Able to sit for extended periods at a computer and perform repetitive computer functions.
• This is not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.
