SkyWest Airlines is seeking a Purchasing Agent in Saint George, UT to support maintenance bases by obtaining parts and managing critical purchases. The role involves close coordination with bases and vendors to ensure timely delivery and accurate filing of purchase records.

You will evaluate costs for consumables, monitor orders, and maintain strong communication with team members. A background check and drug screen are required, with eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Formación

Primary Job Duties

As a Purchasing Agent, you will work closely with assigned maintenance bases to ensure they have the parts needed for a successful operation.

• Purchase parts for maintenance bases
• Responsible for aircraft on ground (AOG) and critical purchases
• Evaluate costs for consumable inventory
• Maintain accurate purchase files
• Communicate with bases and vendors
• Monitor and expedite orders

Minimum Requirements

• No previous airline experience needed*

We are looking for individuals with an interest in the airline industry who have the following traits:

• 18 years of age or older
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Self-motivated
• Communication and people skills
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Word & Excel
• Work independently and as an integral part of a team
• Job knowledge is gained through on the job training.

Physical And Other Requirements

• Schedule Monday - Friday
  • Either four 10-hour shifts (4/10s) or five 8-hour shifts (5/8s) are available for full-time employees.
• Live near or be willing to relocate to St. George, UT (no remote work opportunities available for this position)
• Able to sit for extended periods at a computer and perform repetitive computer functions.
• This is not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.
