Position: Purchasing Agent

Tri Pointe Homes Arizona is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Purchasing Agent.

Position Highlights:

Procure materials and labor timely, maintaining quality and quantity, with competitive prices, while fostering good relationships with trade partners.

Responsibilities include:

1. Prepare and distribute bid packages, negotiate and award trade contracts, evaluate bids, and manage the bid list.
2. Negotiate contract changes, resolve issues, and communicate updates across teams.
3. Track model discounts, analyze vendor performance, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
4. Manage construction costs through bidding and negotiations, stay updated on construction practices and codes.
5. Develop standard features, oversee contract administration, ensure scope accuracy, and manage reports.
6. Maintain the National Contract program, perform cost analyses, and interface with architects and engineers.
7. Negotiate base home and options costs, order samples, and collaborate with various teams on community standards.
8. Research industry trends, uphold company policies, and manage option-related topics and budgets.
9. Prepare civil and landscape plans for bidding, analyze bids, and oversee contract scope and administration.
10. Manage budgets, track prices, establish bid deadlines, and build relationships with trade partners and vendors.
11. Collaborate with internal teams, develop excellent relationships, and demonstrate commitment to company values.
12. Proactively improve processes, organize tasks, and ensure timely completion of work.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; BA/BS preferred.
• At least 1 year of homebuilder purchasing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, and internet-based programs; experience with Corrigo, JD Edwards, Sharefile, Docusign, Envision, and Hyphen Solutions is a plus.
