Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support procurement for a manufacturing client in Omaha, NE or Harlan, IA. The role involves creating POs in SAP, tracking supplier schedules, expediting critical shipments, and maintaining records.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Production Scheduling to ensure timely material availability and resolve issues. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and a strong communicator able to build

Responsibilities

• Support procurement of materials, components, equipment, and outsourced services.
• Create and manage purchase orders in SAP.
• Monitor supplier delivery schedules and expedite critical shipments.
• Maintain purchasing records and inventory data.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Production Scheduling teams.
• Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues and approve invoice pricing/quantities.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This individual will be responsible for supporting the procurement of materials, components, equipment, and outsourced services needed to keep manufacturing operations running efficiently. They will create and manage purchase orders in SAP, monitor supplier delivery schedules, expedite critical shipments, and maintain purchasing records and inventory data. They will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Production Scheduling teams to ensure materials are delivered on time, resolve supplier quality and delivery issues, approve invoice pricing and quantities, and help maintain strong supplier relationships while supporting overall quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
