Zusammenfassung

Crawford Electric Supply is seeking a Purchasing Agent at our RDC/Branch to manage inventory and procurement processes in a fast-paced environment. You will review stock levels, create vendor PO's, and work with product teams to ensure accurate pricing and vendor data.

The role requires detail orientation, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel/Outlook. Candidates should have a college degree in Industrial Distribution or Business Management or equivalent industry experience.

• Intermediate PC skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Aufgaben

• Follow branch and company procedures to maintain minimum inventory levels while avoiding branch shortages of necessary materials to service our customers.
• Review inventory levels through system and create vendor purchase orders to fulfill branch inventory needs on stock items as well as purchase non-stock items when needed for sales force.
• Review and maintain purchasing parameters on items within system to provide proper service levels to our customers.
• Work with product team to ensure the product data base has accurate pricing, costing, product descriptions, and vendor information.
• Expedite and track all outstanding orders.
• Make recommendations for major purchases of materials based on anticipated changes in pricing or unusual availability situations.
• Establish professional vendor and branch relationships to develop trust and a solid working relationship to accomplish common goals.
• Work with sales force to help resolve vendor procurement issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive business information.
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• A college degree in Industrial Distribution, Business Management and/or equivalent industry experience is requested.

Environment

• Typical environment includes offices and warehouse.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
