Awning & Sign Contractors (ASC) in Angola, Indiana is seeking a Purchasing Agent to source materials, negotiate contracts, and manage inventory to support our teams. The role focuses on balancing cost, quality, and delivery while building strong supplier relationships.

Awning & Sign Contractors (ASC) is looking for a detail-oriented, resourceful, and motivated Purchasing Agent to join our team in Angola, Indiana!

At ASC, purchasing is about more than placing orders. It's about finding the right materials, at the right price, at the right time. From negotiating with vendors to keeping inventory on track, you'll play an important role in helping our teams deliver quality products to our customers.

We're looking for someone who can balance cost, quality, and efficiency while building great relationships along the way.

What You'll Be Doing

Find the best value. Research suppliers, compare pricing and quality, negotiate contracts, and identify opportunities to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.

Keep things moving. Monitor inventory, coordinate purchasing needs across our facilities, process purchase orders, and ensure materials arrive when needed.

Build strong partnerships. Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors while holding suppliers accountable for pricing, quality, and delivery.

Keep the details organized. Maintain accurate purchasing records, approve invoices as needed, and ensure company credit card receipts are uploaded within 24 hours of purchase.

Manage inventory accuracy. Maintain inventory items and codes in Sage, coordinate twice-yearly physical inventories, investigate discrepancies, and process necessary adjustments.

Support the team. Provide material pricing to our sales team for quoting and coordinate supply purchases for departments across our facilities.

Find ways to improve. Analyze material costs, evaluate purchasing trends, and track cost savings for company KPI reporting.

Are comfortable working with purchasing, inventory, and computer systems. Experience with Sage is a plus!

Take initiative, follow through, and enjoy working with people across different departments.

Previous purchasing, procurement, or inventory management experience is preferred.
