Job summary

Consigli Construction Co., Inc. seeks a Purchaser in the Purchasing division to hire subcontractors and vendors for specific projects. You will define trade package scopes and collaborate with Estimator and Project Manager to keep tasks on time and within budget.

You will develop relationships with subcontractors, oversee prequalification and bid processes, conduct risk analyses, and draft subcontracts and purchase agreements. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a relevant field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in construction management, procurement or similar role.
  • Experience with construction schedules, drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with review of estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000
The Purchaser is responsible for hiring subcontractors and vendors for specific Consigli Construction projects. The purchaser will be assigned and work collaboratively with members of the project team including the Estimator and Project manager, to complete this function on time and on budget.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Hire subcontractors and vendors for specific construction projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or relevant field required.

  • Experience with review of estimates and/or budgets for construction projects and evaluating subcontractor proposals.
