Job Description:
Job Opening: Purchase/Procurement Supervisor (FEP023)
Annual Salary: $65k-$70k
Examples of Duties: Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of staff. Develops, coordinates, and monitors the agency purchasing, supplier management process, agency purchasing card program, and contract and bidding process throughout the procurement cycle. Plans and executes procurement strategies to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Serves as subject-matter expert.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in accounting or business or a directly related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of job-related experience in a procurement environment, which included one (1) year in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role; OR Technical diploma in accounting or business from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of job-related experience in a procurement environment which included one (1) year in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role; OR two (2) years of experience at the lower level Procurement Agent 3 (FEP022) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: State of Georgia purchasing experience; experience with state purchasing card program; experience with state contracts and the state competitive solicitation process.
Georgia Certified Purchasing Associate (GCPA); Georgia Certified Purchasing Card Associate (GCPCA); knowledge of WorkDay ERP system
