What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Establish and manage ongoing relationships with community-based puppy raiser groups
- Determine appropriate placement for puppies according to organizational guidelines
- Travel to local and distant puppy raiser groups to provide support and consultation
- Oversee the development and training of volunteer puppy counselors
- Facilitate training programs for puppy raisers in various environments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-3 years of experience in teaching, working with people, understanding animal behavior, and dog training
- Possession of a valid driver's license without restrictions and ability to travel frequently
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in the latest version of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience as a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor is desired
- Comfortable working within and around correctional facilities and community-based venues
- Experience in general public relations duties, including performing tours and representing the organization professionally
