Job summary

Argo Products Company is seeking full-time machine set-up specialists for both 1st and 2nd shift in a metalworking environment. Experience with punch press or press brake setup is required, with progressive stamping, spot welding, or wire forming skills a plus.

Responsibilities include operating stamping presses, setting up controls, monitoring production, inspecting parts, reading blueprints, and collaborating with teammates to meet targets, while upholding safety and clean-work practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Press Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up and running progressive dies a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings to understand product specifications.
• Knowledge of stamping press operations, including setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements using precision tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain stamping press machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
• Set up and adjust machine controls for each job, ensuring proper settings for speed, pressure, and feed rates.
• Monitor production process, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, performing visual checks and using measuring tools as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents to understand production requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and meet production targets.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
