Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, good communication, and be able to lift up to 40 pounds; prior punch press setup experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Experience interpreting precision measuring instruments and blueprints preferred.
• Previous punch press setup and operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up dies on punch presses per job instructions.
• Safely operate presses to meet rate and adjust as required.
• Identify and troubleshoot quality issues.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
• Read blueprints and job travelers to ensure correct setups.
• Record labor data in the ERP system.
• Move materials with forklifts, pallet jacks, and die trucks.
• Keep area clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with training of employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
