Job summary

Dayton Rogers in Columbus, OH is seeking a skilled punch press operator to join our metal stamping team. You will operate a punch press, perform setup and tooling adjustments, and maintain the equipment to ensure safe, efficient production of parts per customer specifications.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year stamping press experience, familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, and the ability to read drawings and measurement tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ year stamping press experience (required).
• Metal stamping experience.
• Setup knowledge (preferred).
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication (turret, laser, brake press).

Responsibilities

• Read job prints, cards, and instructions to produce parts.
• Operate punch press and perform setup and tooling adjustments.
• Maintain equipment for optimal performance.
• Safely and efficiently produce parts to customer specs.
• Read and interpret quality measurements with micrometers, gauges, calipers, rulers.
• Solve problems to improve productivity and quality.

Objective:

Operate a punch press machine to produce parts and tools from various materials. Responsibilities include setup, tooling adjustments, and equipment maintenance for optimal performance.

Responsibilities:

• Understand metal specifications and differences.
• Produce parts to customer specifications safely and efficiently.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift.
• Read and interpret job prints, cards, and instructions.
• Measure parts for quality using micrometers, gauges, calipers, and rulers.
• Solve problems to improve productivity and quality.

• Metal stamping experience.
• Setup knowledge (preferred).
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication (turret, laser, brake press).
