Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Punch Press Operator for the Dixon, IL facility. This 2nd shift role (Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–12:00am) will set up and operate punch presses and related equipment to fabricate metal components according to drawings and specifications.

You will interpret blueprints, use hand tools, and ensure accurate counts of finished parts while following safety and environmental policies. Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or GED (or 1 year related experience) and can work

• Count product and ensure quality per specs
• Resolve routine issues and refer complex problems to a higher level
• Comply with DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies
• Utilize designated Personal Protective Equipment as required

The Punch Press Operator position is located in Dixon, IL and will set up and operate machines to fabricate metal components according to specifications.

This 2nd shift position is, Monday through Thursday, 2:00pm to 12:00am.

Role Responsibilities

• Preliminarily set up and operate or tend a variety of machines such as punch presses and special purpose equipment to form metal according to drawing requirements
• Interpret drawing and blueprint requirements
• Use hand tools to work with material
• Count product
• Resolve routine questions and problems and refer more complex issues to a higher level for resolution
• Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
• Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Education consisting of a high school diploma/GED or a minimum of one (1) year of related experience in lieu ofeducation
• Perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment
• Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
• Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
• Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned

Hourly Rate : $21.35, plus shift premium

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
