Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Punch Press Operator for the Dixon, IL facility. This 2nd shift role runs Monday through Thursday from 2:00pm to 12:00am, focusing on setting up and operating punch presses and related equipment to fabricate metal components per drawings.

The position offers an hourly rate of $21.35 plus shift premium and eligibility for an annual incentive plan based on performance and growth. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED (or related experience), be able to work

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team environment with plant employees.
• Interact constructively with all plant staff.

Responsibilities

• Count product.
• Resolve routine questions and refer complex issues to a higher level for resolution.
• Comply with DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
• Use designated Personal Protective Equipment as required.

The Punch Press Operator position is located in Dixon, ILand will set up and operate machines to fabricate metal components according to specifications.

This 2nd shift position is, Monday through Thursday, 2:00pm to 12:00am.

Role Responsibilities

• Preliminarily set up and operate or tend a variety of machines such as punch presses and special purpose equipment to form metal according to drawing requirements
• Interpret drawing and blueprint requirements
• Use hand tools to work with material
• Count product
• Resolve routine questions and problems and refer more complex issues to a higher level for resolution
• Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
• Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Education consisting of a high school diploma/GED or a minimum of one (1) year of related experience in lieu ofeducation
• Perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment
• Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
• Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
• Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned

Hourly Rate: $21.35, plus shift premium

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
