A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Punch Press Operator for their 1st shift operations. The role requires setting up and operating metal stamping presses and comes with opportunities for skill development. Candidates must possess a high school diploma and strong communication abilities to succeed in a team-oriented environment.
Job Description:
Punch Press:
1st shift: Monday through Friday 7am-3pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Set-up, operates, and adjust 5ton to 200ton metal stamping presses.
* Select the correct tooling for the job task with set-up documents or supervisor/lead assistance.
* Able to troubleshoot metal forming problems.
* Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance.
* Team player with a positive, "can do" attitude.
* Strong work ethic.
Qualification Requirements:
* Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
* High School diploma or GED required.
* Competent at basic dimensional measuring and the use of precision measurement tools.
* Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
* Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.
The following is a plus but not required:
* Previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of metal manufacturing.
* A certificate from college or technical school is a plus.
Skills:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
* High School diploma or GED required.
* High knowledge and understanding of metal machining.
* Ability to work with various types of metal machining constraints without guidance.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and other shop drawing aids at a high level.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
